1. Who we are
This website and business are operated by A.I. Locksmith Service Ltd, trading as Andrew the Locksmith Harrow (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are a locksmith service based in Harrow, covering Harrow, Middlesex and the surrounding areas.

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. This means we decide how and why your data is used.
2. What personal data we collect
We only collect what we need to quote for work, carry it out, get paid, and keep proper business records:
- When you contact us or book a job — your name, address, phone number, email address, and details of the work you need (for example the type of lock, the problem, and the property).
- When you pay — if you pay by bank transfer, your name and any reference appear on our bank statement. If you pay by card, the payment is handled by our card reader provider, myPOS — we do not see or store your full card number. If you pay by cash, no payment data is held.
- When you use our website — basic technical and usage data (such as your device type, browser, and pages viewed) collected through cookies and analytics, and anything you type into our contact form.
We do not collect special category data (such as health or ethnicity) and we do not ask for it.
3. How we use your data, and our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your data. Ours are:
- To provide the service you asked for — quoting, arranging a visit, doing the work, and following up. Lawful basis: performance of a contract (and taking steps at your request before a contract).
- To respond to enquiries you send us. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering potential customers.
- To keep financial and tax records (invoices, job records). Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To understand how our website is used through analytics, so we can improve it. Lawful basis: your consent (for non-essential cookies) and our legitimate interest in a working website.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. There are no other staff — Andrejs handles everything personally. Your data is only ever shared with:
- Our card reader provider, myPOS — to process card payments.
- Our website and analytics providers (including Google, for website analytics) — who process limited website usage data on our behalf.
- Our website host — where the website and any contact-form messages are stored.
- HMRC or other authorities — only where we are legally required to, for tax or by law.
5. How long we keep it
- Job records, invoices and financial data: 6 years, because HMRC requires business records to be kept for that long.
- Enquiries that don’t turn into a job: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Website analytics data: for the period set by our analytics provider.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the data we hold about you (a “subject access request”);
- ask us to correct anything that’s wrong;
- ask us to delete your data (where we’re not legally required to keep it);
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- ask us to transfer it; and
- withdraw your consent at any time (for anything based on consent, such as cookies).

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
7. Cookies
Our website uses cookies — small files stored on your device. Some are essential for the site to work; others (such as Google Analytics) help us see how the site is used. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the cookie banner, and you can control cookies through your browser settings.
8. How we keep your data safe
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and only keep it as long as needed (see section 5). Paper job records are kept securely, and digital records are held on password-protected devices and reputable, secured services.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Please check back occasionally.
